German courses in Panjim from February to July 2019

As per the requirements of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) prescribed by Goethe Institute there are several levels – A1, A2, B1, B2.1(B1+), B2, C1 and C2 for adults and Fit 1 & 2 for young adults (10-15 years).

The Indo German Educational and Cultural Society of Goa (IGECS) will offer the following courses (regular, weekend intensive and private tuition) in Panjim from February to July 2019: A1, A2, B1, B2.1(B1+) and B2.

Syllabus:
For each level there is a syllabus, which is covered in the prescribed books. This syllabus covers the components of the German language i.e. reading, hearing, speaking and writing the language.

Duration of Courses:
A regular course in A1 and A2 would take approximately 120 hours + 20 hours for exam preparation.

An intensive course / private tuition in A1 and A2 would take approximately 70 hours depending on the student’s grasping power.

The B series intensive courses generally take 180-240 hours depending on co-operation of the course participants to accomplish their assignments and preparation.

Frequency of classes:
• Regular courses: Thrice a week – 2 hour sessions
• Weekend Intensive courses: 10 hours per weekend
• Intensive weekly course: Thrice a week — 4 hour sessions.
• Private tuition: as per requirement.

Course fees:
• Regular batch courses (A1, A2, Fit 1 & 2): Rs. 15000/-
• Weekend A1 & A2 Intensive courses: Rs. 20,000/-
• B1, B1+ {B2.1} and B2.2 courses: Rs. 20,000/- each course inclusive of only course books. All other books will have to be purchased when required.
• Private tuition: as per requirement

Course Material:
Only the course material is available and included in the fees. Additional exam preparation books will have to be purchased at the time of preparation for the examinations. Course participants should bring two notebooks, pendrive, a file (for extra material in the form of photocopies).

International Examination:
Tentatively, the next exam will be in August 2019.
The exam registrations will bein one month in advance and examination fees will have to be paid to Goethe Institute/Max Mueller Bhavan-Pune.
IGECS will announce the date.

Advantages of taking this examination:
It is recognised all over the world; has a lifetime validity; required by most educational institutions in Germany for pursuing further education and increases employment prospects for your c.v.

Registrations:
Registrations begin on 4th February 2019 at the at Garden Central Music Studio venue by prior appointment.
